As a homebody, one of my favorite things to do is to stream a movie to my surround sound system. I pop some corn, grab a drink, and I'm enjoying a movie without my feet sticking to the floor of the local multiplex. The Cinema 60 combines classic Marantz audio technology with cutting-edge surround sound and video processing to help you experience the exhilaration of being at the movies without the aggravation.
Marantz packed in audiophile goodies like Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAM) for their warm signature sound, as well as Pure Direct mode for rich, accurate music playback that brings your favorite artist's vision to life.
Ideal for a Dolby Atmos system
The seven-channel Cinema 60 is ideal for powering a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos or DTS:X® system — that's the traditional five speakers and subwoofer configuration, plus a pair of upward-firing or in-ceiling speakers for overhead effects. Use the included MultEQ® XT multi-channel processing to dial in your home theater sound.
You can also go with a 5.1-channel setup in your main room, and use the extra two channels for music in another room. Or if you prefer, use the surround speaker connections to bi-amp your front right and left speakers for a powerful front soundstage.
Advanced video processing for gaming and more
Marantz made sure the Cinema 60 is compatible with the latest video technology. Three of the six HDMI inputs and both HDMI outputs support 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video content (think Sony's PlayStation® 5, or the Xbox Series X). Or, use a high-quality source like a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player or an Apple TV for outstanding cinema quality.
Music in one room or many
This receiver also lets you stream tunes from your phone or tablet through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Apple AirPlay 2. Use the built-in phono input to hook up your turntable. You can even play high-resolution tracks from a USB drive or networked computer.
HEOS Built-in technology lets you access all kinds of different content through the Cinema 60. Listen to internet radio stations, or to popular subscription services like Pandora®, Spotify®, and TIDAL.
